Want to try doing stand up comedy yourself? Apply for your spot at blastoffcomedy.com/perform ! (If you only want to watch then no need to sign up with the previous link)

Note: This show is crowd funded :) That means our business model is to let people enter the show with just the purchase of a drink (for the bar) and that you pay what you can after the show to support the artists. This allows people who can't afford to come to a normal ticketed show to experience live comedy at a reasonable price! As this show is an open mic and anyone is free to sign up, there is no obligation to pay after the show, though we appreciate it when you do ;) We are happy to have you in the audience whether you pay or not!

Lineup

Gunarjun Chawla

Gunarjun Chawla

@Gunarjunchawla

A London-based spoken-word poet and storyteller originally from Mumbai. Blending observational humour with heartfelt storytelling, his work explores identity, belonging, relationships and the everyday absurdities of life between two cultures.

Stephane Young

Stephane Young

@stephaneyouu

Stéphane is a comedian based in Paris. He's American and French, so his hobbies are eating and complaining about the food. He quit his career in finance to make people laugh, which did not make his parents laugh.

Carl Adler

Carl Adler

@carlmadler

Some people move abroad for adventure. Carl moved to Abu Dhabi, stayed for what he estimates was somewhere between one and two years, and then moved back because of a girl. He is still working out how to tell that story.

Levon Shant

Levon Shant

@levonshant33

There are people who went to film school and made films, and then there is Levon Shant, who went to film school and makes breakfast. He will tell you this is temporary, and he has been saying that with complete conviction for long enough that it has become its own kind of impressive.
